Multisport training @ box end park

The lakes are now fully open for swimming.

This year we require a minimum of 4 people to be swimming at any time. If you are struggling to make up numbers then visit our triathlete facebook site and let others know you are heading down:

To train at Box End Park you must be a member of a recognised triathlete or swimming club, or the BTA
If you are not a member then speak to the guys at Bedford Traktors.

Box End Park is the perfect training venue for open water swimming and off road running and cycling.

The lake is a safe, clean and current free spot for swimmers to train. Our site is fully serviced by full changing rooms with lockers and showers.


As well as offering dedicated open water swimming sessions (times detailed below), Box End Park hosts a number of Duathlon, triathlon and Quadrathlon events.

The best way to train at Box End Park is to become a 6 month club member (May 1st - October 31st). This gives unlimited use of the site and allows you to develop a cheap and consistent traning plan. Membership application forms can be downloaded by following the link below. Alternatively you can train as a guest for a charge of £4 per day pass (This should be paid to a member of staff on arrival)

Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the open water swimming rules (below) before training.
We can only allow traning whist there are staff on site and the lakes are not being used for waterskiing.

*Note - In the event of there being a special event the above sessions may be interupted on occasion. Advance notice will be posted to advise participants on the swimmers notice board on the start dock.
