Quadrathlon Short Course Championship
Race Review
On Sunday 29th July, Box End Park was privileged to host a round of the British National Quadrathlon Short Course Championship AND Off Road Triathlon, organised by Quadrac Racing.
By 9 am, around 80 competitors had arrived and were ready to start in two groups. The Quadrathlon consisted of a 750m open water swim, 4.4km Kayak, 13.2km off road bike course and 5km trail run, and the triathletes prepared themselves for a 400m open water swim, 13.2km off road bike course and 5km trail run.
A few hours later, everyone looked a little muddier but pleased with the results and ready to tuck into the BBQ provided. A little later in the day, not content with the exercise from the triathlon, twenty competitors enjoyed a go at kneeboarding and wakeboarding on the cable-tow at Box End Park!
Well done to everyone that took part and thanks to everyone involved for making it a great event which we hope will be even bigger in 2008.
